Overview of the Position:

The Director of Campus Ministry is responsible for the spiritual formation and Catholic culture of the Bishop Blanchet community by providing opportunities for prayer, reception of sacraments, participation in faith groups, liturgies, retreats, service, and pastoral care. There is an administrative and ministerial role to the job. The administrative role can be seen in the overseeing of the programs and the ministerial role can be seen in the presence of the Director of Campus Ministry at events that impact students' lives.

Specifically, the major areas listed below are included in the Campus Ministry Program. The list is not intended to be exhaustive or all inclusive. All faculty members share responsibility for the pastoral life of the school community, but the Director of Campus Ministry supplies the leadership and organization that will facilitate the task of nourishing, sustaining, and challenging the faith of this community.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; Master's degree or higher preferred
Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area
Annual contract beginning in the Fall
Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be committed to the following:

Collaborate with campus ministry team and work toward consensus with team members
Supervisory role to members of campus ministry team when performing campus ministry component of their job function
Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all grade level and optional additional student retreats
Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all faculty/staff retreats
Submit a yearly calendar of all Campus Ministry programs each spring for the following school year
Submit recommendations for annual budget and allocate resources for Campus Ministry programs
Provide monthly faith formation events for faculty and staff.
Lead the Campus Ministry team regarding retreats, masses, daily reflections, short and long-term ministry goals, parish and community partnerships, and enhancement of the Catholic dimension of the school.
Develop annual goals for department, individual programs and staff to promote the spiritual health and Catholic identity of the school.
Direct and provide support for mission service trips.
Recruit faculty, staff and others to attend retreats.
Develop curriculum for and oversees ministry-related community periods
Update and maintain the Campus Ministry webpage
Serve on school Leadership Team and Principal's Council
Teaches up to 0.2 FTE
Complete other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal

Salary Range: $99,581 - $116,924
