Job Description
Job Description:To serve as the Church Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant supporting the Pastor and Business Manager.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable;
* Assist with various accounting tasks;
* Payroll;
* Cross train at Parish Cemetery;
* Administrative Assistant duties supporting Pastor and Business Manager.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
* Post invoices received to Quickbooks; prepare checks for review,
approval and mailing; filing check stubs and invoices;
* Assist with accounting for receipts and provide yearly donor
statements;
* Assist with journal entries and monthly balance sheet analyses;
* Assist with payroll, including entering data into payroll system and
preparing accounting entries for posting to Quickbooks;
* Support cemetery office staff;
* Calendar, reception and administrative support as needed;
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Two years bookkeeping or the equivalent education;
* Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Attention to details and deadlines;
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with
Quickbooks and ADP Run payroll are a plus.
