Teacher Vacancies: ELA, Math, Social Studies (5-8)

Saint Mary School in Shrewsbury is seeking qualified classroom teachers with middle school experience to join our school community which provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic, and compassionate educator who serves as a positive role model of Catholic values and morals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required at a minimum; Masters degree preferred
Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification as a Middle School English Language Arts teacher
Prior experience as a middle school educator

Professional Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Work under the general supervision of the Principal and Assistant Principal
Use effective, varied, and engaging instructional methods and strategies
Develop students' skills in literature, composition, grammar, vocabulary, presentation, and critical thinking
Motivate and engage students as active participants in the learning process
Differentiate instruction to meet each student's unique learning needs
Possess exceptional classroom management skills
Create a classroom culture of kindness and respect with high expectations for learning
Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Integrate technology into classroom instruction, including Google Classroom
Collaborate with other teachers of the Middle School Team to support students and enhance instruction
Communicate with parents regarding academic, behavioral, and safety concerns
Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
Coordinate a homeroom class in the middle school
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as outlined by the Principal
