Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; some evenings and weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY
Franciscan University is seeking an Associate Director of Residence Life who will be responsible for all aspects of coordinating and documenting student housing as well as leading all activities related to development and execution of a variety of projects within Student Life. He/she will also oversee budget preparation and reporting and ensure proper management of the software platforms used in the department. Acts as a point of contact for addressing student needs and assists department staff with advancing the mission of Student Life.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages all aspects of processing student housing (including meal plans) and communicating housing policies (website updates). Supervises designated resident directors assigned to help with student housing and oversees student assistants to execute residence life priorities. Assists with planning, promotion, registration, and logistics for the Housing Fair and Roommate Change week. Also, assists with Baron Days. Creates content and schedules social media posts for residence life. Collects residence life infractions and reports to Dean of Students.

• Develops, manages and monitors various Student Life projects working closely with the various constituencies to define project needs and program; creates long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.

• Manages student life departments with budget preparation, oversight and reporting. Oversees spending and issues reports accordingly. Acts as a primary contact with accounting to reconcile and plan budgets.

• Manages and coordinates various software platforms, developing profound knowledge of FUS housing and conduct software.

• Provides general administrative support to Student Life staff. Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) for SEVIS reporting to the Assistant VP of Student Life Services and Events.

• Other assigned duties that advance the goals of Franciscan University and Student Life.

REQUIREMENTS
Must believe, promote and have a strong commitment to the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:

Work Experience:
• 1-3 years experience leading and directing multiple projects from development to execution phase.
• 1-3 years experience with budget management, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related work.
• 1-3 years experience managing software, preferably related to housing and conduct.
• 1-3 years experience working with high school students or young adults.

• Project Management: Effectively identifies and organizes steps, tasks, resources and timing needed to accomplish goals. Understands how to separate, prioritize and combine tasks into efficient work flow. Defines, communicates and facilitates project outcomes, measures, milestones and completion. Creates and uses reporting and feedback processes to monitor progress and adjust as needed.

• Action Oriented: Displays initiative; does not wait to be told or asked to do something. Comfortable acting in the absence of clear guidance or instructions.
Education/Credentials:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Word, and Forms.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) for meetings and communications.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing print and electronic marketing materials (e.g., Canva, Instagram) is desired.
• Proficiency or experience in relevant software applications desired.
• Proficiency or experience in business management software desired.
