Job Description

Located in Delran, NJ, Holy Cross is a private, coeducational, Catholic, preparatory high school established in 2018 with the written permission of the Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton. Guided by its motto, "Honoring our Traditions, Pursuing our Future," Holy Cross, the only independent, Catholic, preparatory high school in Burlington County, New Jersey, inspires students of all faiths and backgrounds to be thinkers, innovators, and leaders. Students are challenged and engaged in its rigorous academic curriculum, competitive athletics, and concentration on the arts. The school's dedicated faculty and staff help students reach beyond their expectations and define success by their achievements, preparing them to excel at universities and become engaged, future stewards for the Church and our society. Supported by the generosity of its early stakeholders and an extensive alumni network, the school has enjoyed consistent year-over-year enrollment growth. Currently, over 300 coed students call this campus home.

At Holy Cross Preparatory Academy, the innovative curriculum exceeds the standards set by local schools within the region compared to all private schools in South Jersey. HCPA offers the most college courses, incorporates technology into everyday learning, and uses collegiate block scheduling that mimics the education profile of most colleges and universities across the United States. Alongside all advancements, the school community remains faithful to its Catholic identity, inclusive environment, and the mission to develop young men and women into lifelong learners.
An independent Board of Trustees, comprised of eight individuals, governs Holy Cross Preparatory Academy and hires and evaluates the President. Cognia accredits Holy Cross, the world's largest community of education professionals. The school is also a member of the National Catholic Education Association.

To learn more about this distinguished community, visit the school's website here: https://www.hcprep.org/

The candidates we seek will have significant leadership experience, expertise in financial and business management, exemplary communication and relationship-building skills, and be skilled at engaging and inspiring constituents and stakeholders to support its mission further. They must be experienced with strategic planning and have the requisite experience to lead a growing school community. With a visible presence inside and outside the school community, the President will be the catalyst in advancing the strategic marketing and advancement initiatives of the school community.

While the President must have a demonstrated capacity for broad, institutional leadership, candidates could have attained this experience through various career paths, including primary, secondary, or higher education, non-profit management, or corporate or public sector work. Regardless of the career path, the successful candidate will have a growth mindset and a proven record of building strong community culture and identifying, cultivating, and developing strategic partnerships to ensure the school's continued accessibility, success, sustainability, and viability.
