Assistant or Associate Professor of Catechetics

Job Description

Franciscan University of Steubenville invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, assistant or associate professor position in Catechetics and Evangelization in the Department of Theology, beginning August 2026. An appropriate Ph.D., S.T.D., or D.Min. is required at time of employment, but ABD candidates will be considered. Primary teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses, online and on-campus. Since our degrees in Evangelization and Catechetics are both academic and professional, at least ten years of successful experience in the field is required. Candidates with demonstrated experience in ministry with the Hispanic/Latino audience will be preferred. We highly value the capacity of candidates to contribute to academic research in catechetics.
