Iowans for a Pro-Life Nation and Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America are seeking an Iowa Communications Director - a strategic, experienced communications professional who will help drive powerful engagement through the press, social media, and coalition building in our mission to elect a pro-life president in 2028.

In this pivotal position, you will partner closely with the Iowa Campaign Manager and the SBA Communications Director to build and execute a communications strategy to reach Iowa voters and Republican presidential candidates. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the pro-life movement in Iowa and nationally.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA) is the largest political pro-life organization in the country, with a nationwide network of over 1 million Americans. We combine politics with policy, investing heavily in voter education and issue advocacy to advance laws that protect the unborn and their mothers.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute strategic communications plans with the IA Campaign Manager and SBA Communications Team.
Build and foster relationships with Iowa media and influencers.
Write pitches, press releases, talking points, and statements with the support of the SBA Traditional Media Team.
Develop and execute in-person and virtual press events.
Create Iowa social media content with the support of the SBA Social Media Team.
Work with pro-life leaders and grassroots in Iowa to push messaging.
Serve as a local spokesperson and/or develop Iowa spokespeople.
Requirements
Experience in communications, media relations, social media, and political work.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and deliver under tight deadlines.
Experience working with Iowa media.
Commitment to SBA's pro-life mission and values.

What We're Looking For

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Strong political interest and instincts.
Strong project management skills - able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with excellence.
High adaptability and composure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Competence with/ability to quickly learn Cision, Asana, and Sprout.
Supervisory Responsibilities

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.

Position Type & Work Schedule

This is a full-time position located in Iowa.
Evening and weekend work is required and expected.

Travel Requirements

Regular in-state travel across Iowa for meetings, events, and coalition-building is required, with occasional travel to SBA headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $80,000 annually
