POSITION SUMMARY
The VP of Digital Strategy serves as a key member of the Leadership Team, shaping organizational direction and driving results. The role will champion a digital-first mindset across the company and with clients as well as presenting strategies and progress to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
One key priority will be for this person to collaborate with diocesan and parish clients. This will include mapping transitions from analog processes to digital processes, walking with clients to effectively implement scalable, modern digital processes and improvements, and modeling empathy and respect for Dioceses and parishes while maintaining a focus on operational excellence, acting as a true partner.
The VP of Digital Strategy will also design and implement a forward-looking digital strategy within SJFS that enhances scalability, efficiency, and impact. The role will work with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experience, marketing channels, and business models. An ideal candidate will be ready to introduce and integrate emerging technologies - including AI tools - that create measurable value and ensure that the digital initiatives align with business objectives, resource planning, and ROI metrics.
Additional duties will be to lead, develop and grow a talented internal team, partner with HR to attract and retain top digital talent, and build and maintain a network of trusted technology vendors and partners. This position will oversee both internal and client-facing digital infrastructures, including tools such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, HubSpot, and Bean.ai. The role will ensure the right balance of cost-effectiveness, integration, and innovation across the technology ecosystem.
REQUIREMENTS
10-20 years of progressive experience in digital strategy, operations, or technology leadership.
Proven success in driving process automation and cross-functional initiatives.
Experience managing vendor relationships and digital implementation teams.
Strong understanding of systems integration, process design, and digital change management.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
Familiarity with Catholic or mission-driven organizations a plus, but not required.

Successfully implemented client-side technologies for 2-3 large Diocesan contracts through vendor management
Built out our digital infrastructure and streamlined/improved internal systems
Achieved results through expertise and collaboration
Built a high-performing, collaborative digital team
Established measurable ROI metrics for digital initiatives
Strengthened our culture of humility, hunger and excellence
This person will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. He or she will also serve as an ex-officio member of the Board with no voting rights, for no additional compensation. He or she agree to devote their full business time, attention and best efforts to the performance of their duties and to the furtherance of the Company's interests. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in this letter shall preclude him or her from devoting reasonable periods of time to charitable and community activities, managing personal investment assets and, subject to Board approval which will not be unreasonably withheld, serving on boards of other companies (public or private) not in competition with the Company, provided that none of these activities interferes with the performance of his or her duties hereunder or creates a conflict of interest.
