Job Description
With approximately 560 students, St. Louis School offers student instruction from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Job Responsibilities
•Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing program grounded in Catholic beliefs for students.
•Plan and implement engaging, differentiated, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with best teaching practices.
•Observe and assess student progress, recording such progress and sharing with parents as required by school policy.
•Value all students as individual learners and work to differentiate instruction to support identified needs.
•Maintain an attractive, organized, engaging learning environment.
•Maintain familiarity with all emergency procedures and protocol.
•Communicate in a clear and professional manner.
•Keep detailed records observing student's behavior and progress; teachers share this information effectively with parents and colleagues.
•Communicate with parents frequently regarding the student experience, identifying early concerns and providing resources.
•Attend all faculty meetings and school events, including weekly team planning.
•Attend all professional development days and workshops.
Job Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree required
•Maryland State Teacher's Certification or willingness to obtain
•Practicing Catholic preferred
•Knowledge of grade level content
•Proficiency with technology and managing a one-to-one Chromebook program
