Job Description

Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atria are the heart of our mission, and we are looking for mature, trained, and experienced individuals to be lead catechists and assistants. Multiple age groups, days, and times are available. We offer atrium sessions throughout the week with either morning sessions (9-11 am) or afternoon sessions (1-3 pm). We welcome interest in one or more openings.

Time requirements:
2026 - 2027 academic year, beginning in late August and ending in mid-to-late-May.
Atrium sessions meet once/week for two hours.
Catechists spend typically an additional hour/week preparing for sessions and restoring the atrium after sessions.

Qualifications:
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - CGS USA Certificate in one or more levels for lead Catechists.
Assistant catechists should be enrolled or be willing to enroll in a CGS formation course.
Experience in an Atrium as a catechist or assistant catechist preferred. Hourly rate based on experience and training.
