Montessori Outdoor and Baking Assistant (ages 3-6)

We are hiring a Montessori Primary Outdoor & Baking Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Time commitment: Tuesdays through Thursdays, 8:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., late August through mid-May.

During the warmer months, you will accompany small groups of three to six-year-old children as they work outside, guiding them in water work, cleaning, gardening, etc., depending on the available materials. When it is cold, you will bake simple recipes of bread, cookies, and muffins with small groups of children. You will also have the opportunity to assist them in setting tables for lunch and playing during recess.

Located on 23 acres with woods, barns, open fields, and a pond in a small mountain town, the Center immersed our children in beauty inside and outside the classrooms. Passionate and devoted adults lead our Center, and we are blessed with open-hearted families who spend time together both at John XXIII and in the wider community.
