Job Description
Middle School Religion Teacher (Grades 6-8)2026-2027 School Year
We are looking for an educator who has a strong commitment to Catholic education and enjoys helping students grow in both their faith and their understanding of the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate will create meaningful classroom discussions and create a welcoming environment where every student feels supported and respected.
Teaching Responsibilities Include:
Religion for Grades 6-8
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons rooted in Catholic teachings
Preparing students for school liturgies, prayer services, and other faith-based activities
Collaborating with faculty to integrate our Catholic identity throughout the school community
Qualified Candidates Will:
Hold appropriate New York State teaching certification (or be eligible for certification).
Be a practicing Catholic who supports and models the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effective classroom management.
Create a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and faith development.
Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administration.
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive faculty.
