Bookkeeper

Job Description

Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, located in Winchester, VA, is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our parish staff. This position offers approximately 20-29 hours per week and is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who values accuracy, organization, and teamwork.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the parish's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the parish.
Qualifications:
-Extensive experience with QuickBooks and accounting software
-Strong proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting
-Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
-Excellent time-management skills
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong integrity and commitment to confidentiality
Responsibilities:
-Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
-Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
-Assist with reconciliations and financial reporting
-Support parish financial operations and administrative functions
-Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions
