Job Description
Archangels Academy, an independent PreK-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled Headmaster for our 2026-27 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to lead the formation and education of young hearts and minds.The Headmaster serves as the chief academic, spiritual, and operational leader of the Academy, reporting to the Board of Directors. The Headmaster leads and forms the faculty and staff, directs the daily operations of the school, and stewards the mission and Catholic, classical identity of the Academy. Because more than two-thirds of our student body is in the lower school (PreK-6), experience in elementary education is essential to this role.

Job Summary:
• Provide visionary, servant leadership that advances the mission and the Catholic, classical identity of the Academy.
• Lead, mentor, develop and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and virtue.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Academy, including academics, admissions, scheduling, staffing, and facilities.
• Steward the curriculum and uphold the integrity of the classical liberal arts tradition across all grade levels.
• Nurture the spiritual life of the school community and lead the integration of the Catholic faith throughout the life of the school.
• Partner with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, budgeting, and financial oversight to ensure institutional stability and growth.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard mission-aligned faculty and staff.
• Recruit, build and sustain strong relationships with parents and prospective families to support enrollment, retention, and a thriving school community.
• Represent the Academy to the diocese, partner organizations, and the wider community.
• Communicate regularly with the Board, faculty, parents, and students, and carry out other duties as directed by the Board of Directors.
Requirements:
• The candidate must be a practicing Catholic.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education, administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in elementary education is required.
• Experience in school administration or organizational leadership is required.
• Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred; a demonstrated openness and willingness to learn and advance the classical tradition is essential.
