Job Description
Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope is a Classical Catholic high school that opened in 2023 in Warwick, RI. We are seeking teachers in Humanities, Science, Latin, Math, PE, Performing Arts, Debate, and Fine Arts.
Chesterton's curriculum consists chiefly of primary sources. Through this curriculum teachers will help students cultivate authentic friendship rooted in shared inquiry into the nature of reality. Teachers will be responsible for providing high quality instruction and mentorship that helps students develop dispositions of wonder, friendship, and faith. Key skills include careful planning, clear communication, classroom leadership, strong organization, and the ability to establish a classroom environment characterized by joy, respect, order, wonder, and deep engagement. Strong applicants must be animated by a spirit of wonder and the desire to grow intellectually, professionally, in character, and in faith. Having taught or previously been educated in classical schools is desirable.
