Job Title: Stewardship & Parish Life CoordinatorReports To: Director of Stewardship and Operations

We are seeking a Parish Life Coordinator who enjoys keeping our parish office organized, bringing people together and ensuring that events run smoothly. You will play a crucial role in making our parish a vibrant, safe, and inclusive community for all.
Job Summary:
The Stewardship & Parish Life Coordinator at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of parish life and stewardship efforts. This role works in close collaboration with Director of Stewardship and Operations and assists with overseeing the other roles within the Stewardship & Operations Department. This professional position combines the focuses of office administration support and parish followship, working collaboratively with clergy, staff, and volunteers to support the mission of our Catholic community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Building & Member Engagement
• Be our "Welcome Ambassador": Create a friendly first impression. Lead our efforts to welcome new families, follow up with them, and assist in their connection to the community.
• Promote Parish Life:
o Be the Primary Source: Proactively work with the Digital Media team on compelling stories, photos, and event details from the front lines of parish life.
o Execute the Plan: Work with the Digital Media team to implement a promotional strategy for events across bulletins, social media, and the website.
• Plan Fun Gatherings: Organize, promote, and manage a social calendar of events like parish dinners, game nights, and holiday festivals that help people build friendships and connect with the parish community. (Collaborate with the Hispanic Ministry to make some of these Bilingual for the whole parish)
• Volunteer Coordinator: Recruit and manage the teams that make our hospitality and events possible (greeters, event helpers, funeral luncheons, etc.).
2. Parish Office Management (Operations)
• Facilities Support: Assists with overseeing and managing the facilities and janitorial staff members within the Stewardship & Operations Department to ensure we are ready for the day-to-day and parish events.
o Manage vendor relationships and parish contracts, with collaboration from Director of Stewardship and Operations.
• When needed, assist with greeting responsibilities: answer parish phones, provide general information, direct callers to appropriate staff, and assist visitors entering the office.
• Manage Mass Intention scheduling, payments, and create promotional materials for Mass Intentions Online.
• Keep Us Safe & Compliant: Ensure our buildings meet all safety codes and our event spaces are operational and welcoming. Work with vendors and volunteers on safe hospitality efforts in the kitchen and during events.
3. Technology & Communications (Systems Management)
• Keep Everyone in the Loop: Manage the main parish calendar so all groups can schedule their activities without conflicts.
• Serve as the Pastor's Executive Assistant: Manage the Pastor's calendar, monitor general email communications, schedule appointments, and prepare correspondence.
• Manage Our Parish Database: Keep our member records accurate and up-to-date. This includes new registrations, address changes, and mailing lists.
• Office Tech Support: Oversee key systems like our phones, HVAC controls, and copiers, making sure they work for staff and volunteers. Monitor & maintain building access, and security cameras.

This job description is intended to provide an overview of the position and responsibilities. Duties may be subject to change based on the needs of the ministry and parish.
Schedule:
• 40 Hours per week
• Weekend and evening hours are required around parish events, with advance notice for schedule changes.
Compensation:
• This position is a full time, salaried position. Applicant will be awarded a generous base salary and health care benefits, including contribution to a Health Savings Account if you elect to be covered by the health insurance plan. Other benefits include a 401(k)-retirement plan, vacation time, and sick time.
