Job Description

General Duties
Handle Parish set ups and break downs before and after functions as directed; this may require occasional evening or weekend assignments with the approval of the pastor and/or principal
Collect all recyclables in the Church and Parish Center
Check and restock Parish Office, Church and Parish Center bathrooms daily
Coordinate snow removal with contractors
Complete or coordinate lawn care and outdoor vegetation/tree removal
Monitor and alert parish administration when parish supplies are low including memorial candles and bottled water
Replace empty water cooler bottles as needed in the Parish Office building
Monitor and refill/replace hand sanitizer, soap, paper towels and batteries in dispensers, clocks, etc. in the Parish Office building and the Church
During the summer months, order cleaning supplies for entire St. Patrick facility for the year
Schedule, oversee and complete summer inspections
Turn on Parish Center lights and unlock and open Parish Center doors on weekdays during the school year
Keep current with all certifications as required
Be visible and supportive to our parishioners and faith community
Attend staff meetings
Prepare a Maintenance and Repairs budget proposal annually. Communicate with pastor regarding major repairs to the property
Insure fire alarm system and fire extinguishers are operative and inspected annually
Responsible for compliance with local, state, diocesan insurance and safety laws and regulations such as fire codes, OSHA standards, IPM, MSDS Board of Health, defibrillator and asbestos inspections
Any other duties as assigned by the pastor or principal

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Suite
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to work under pressure; must initiate, be creative and anticipate solutions to problems; needs good judgment in emergency situations and when working with varied personalities; must be able to work under frequent interruptions
Ability to work collaboratively with all staff and parishioners
Must demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic
Must be able to perform physical duties including, but not limited to, the ability to carry, lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, remove snow, operate electrical and mechanical devices such as, but not limited to, snow and leaf blowers, power washer, plumbing tools, etc.
