Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Development and Administrative Associate for the Catholic Foundation ensures efficient and productive execution of the business functions and operations with a specific focus on donor support and database processing. This position is responsible for current donor management, processing donations and grant distributions and various finance and administrative duties. The role supports the Foundation's mission through clear financial and administrative support.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Contribution recognition, Distributions and Granting - 45%
o Create contribution recognition and proactive donor correspondence.
o Process grant distributions for donor advised funds, donor designated funds and endowment funds, including conducting the necessary financial preparations, proper due diligence and fund holder communication.
o Miscellaneous fund holder/donor projects as assigned.
• Maintain Foundation Database System and Data Integrity - 35%
o Input and maintain donor information into the Foundation's donor management software.
o Maintain data integrity within the Foundation's donor management software.
• Operations and Administration Coordination - 10%
o Support day-to-day administration operations of the Foundation.
o Communication coordination, for example: answer calls, returns voicemails, field and direct daily mail/email requests and coordinate mass mailings.
o Schedule appointments for Foundation's staff as needed
• Fundraising and Events Support - 10%
o Support the Foundation's staff in developing and organizing special events that enhance and cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors and fund holders.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities. Highly motivated with the ability to work independently while participating as an effective member a team.
• Experience with MS Office including Excel, Mailchimp, experience with nonprofit accounting like Foundant and/or related financial software.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task while exercising good judgment, maintaining a high level of customer service and value-based integrity among Foundation stakeholders.
• A positive sense of humor and a solution-oriented attitude.
• Understanding of or membership in the Catholic community; this may be beneficial but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Relevant experience, preferably in finance with a nonprofit and/or foundation.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using a donor management system.
BENEFITS/COMPENSATION
• Competitive pay ranging from $20.00 -$25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• Remote/hybrid work model.
