Job Description

Christ the King Catholic High School is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher at our college-preparatory Catholic high school. Job responsibilities include participating in school-wide professional development, writing lesson plans, collaborating with other faculty members, and other school-related duties. The projected courses would be 11th grade American Literature, and Honors American Literature.

Catholic candidates are preferred but not required. If a candidate is not Catholic, they must have an understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith and Tradition.
- An undergraduate degree in English or an education-related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- NC State certification is highly recommended. If the candidate does not have NC certification, the candidate must meet diocesan standards for assignment.
- Candidate is expected to prepare college-preparatory lesson plans, collaborate with coworkers, communicate with students and parents on classroom-related issues, and grade instructional material promptly.
