Director of Music and Liturgy
Saint Olaf, Patron of Norway, Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Virginia has an opportunity for a full time Director of Music and Liturgy.
Applicants should have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music or have equivalent education and/or experience of 2-3 years working in a Catholic Church.
Requirements include, but are not limited to, knowledge of liturgical documents and the Catholic Liturgy, knowledge of the liturgical ministry roles, piano, vocal and conducting skills. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and within the norms of the Diocese of Richmond.
Responsibilities include shared duties for weekend, and seasonal liturgies, holy days, weddings, funerals, and other parish celebrations. Saint Olaf music program is ripe to expand to include a more robust adult choir and hopefully formation of a youth choir and a children's choir.
St Olaf Catholic Church has a robust music ministry with many assisting instruments and a Yamaha C7 grand piano. This position is a great opportunity to work in a growing parish committed to fostering excellence in music and liturgy.
