Job Opening Immediately for the 2025-2026 School YearAdvancement Officer
Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, a Chesterton Academy, olswdenver.org, (OLSW) is seeking to hire an energetic, committed and faithful individual to serve as Advancement Officer.
This is a full-time, at-will position available immediately for the 2025- 2026 School Year.
The Advancement Officer is responsible for all fundraising and advancement efforts at OLSW. This position facilitates identifying and meeting with prospective donors, cultivating relationships with current donors, and implementing a strategic and an all-inclusive approach to year-round fundraising.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Creating and building a strategic method for ongoing advancement efforts at OLSW
• Cultivate relationships with potential and current donors including business leaders, philanthropic organizations and the local Catholic community asking for their support
• Grant writing and seeking out unique funding opportunities through foundations, corporations, private and governmental agencies, etc.
• Database management of current, past, and prospective donors
• Providing regular updates of appreciation and value to current donors
• Oversee marketing campaigns that share our story and communicate our funding needs
• Planning annual donor appreciation events
• Sharing success stories through various media (newsletters, social media, etc.)
• Coordinating major existing fundraising campaigns such as our annual Vision Dinner, Giving Tuesday and King Soopers Community Rewards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Attend monthly staff meetings and monthly board meetings
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Proven track record of successful fundraising (experience with major gifts and annual giving programs)
• Self-motivated and able to achieve big goals
• Proficient with donor management software (CRM, spreadsheets, word processing)
• Excellent verbal, organizational, planning and writing skills
• Must be able to work outside of normal work hours as the need arises
• Perform tasks in timely fashion and work as a team player
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and make a Profession of the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church
• Sales or marketing experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
