Job Description

Villa Maria Academy Lower School (an all girls Catholic school) is searching for an enthusiastic social studies teacher for our middle school students.
The instructor would have a 6th grade homeroom and grade partner, work closely with middle school team in scheduling and departmental classes. The curriculum includes:
6th grade - geography and history of the Eastern Hemisphere, development of cultures, civilizations, and empires, etc. Students also complete a Heritage Day project in the spring which celebrated their individual nationalities and traditions.
7th grade - a thematical, historical study of the discovery of America to the American Civil War
8th grade - thematic, historical study of the development of America with a special focus on the events and people from the Civil War through the 19th and 20th centuries through various primary and secondary sources.

7th and 8th grade have online text.

Salary is commensurate with experience beginning at $41,000.
