The Diocese of Erie Catholic Schools Office is seeking a forward-thinking Director of Strategic Planning and Analytics to lead data-driven decision-making across our schools.
This is more than a data role-it's a leadership opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen schools, and impact thousands of students and families.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
• Develop and lead data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Analyze trends in enrollment, academics, finances, and operations
• Deliver actionable insights to diocesan leadership, principals, and stakeholders
• Create real-time dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Ensure compliance with FERPA, data governance, and privacy standards
• Support strategic planning, accreditation, and school improvement initiatives
• Train school leaders and staff to effectively use and interpret data
• Partner across departments including academics, finance, advancement, and enrollment
What You Bring
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, education, business, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or educational data systems
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
• Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical audiences
Preferred:
• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience in Catholic education or diocesan leadership
• Familiarity with SQL, predictive analytics, and database management
• Knowledge of accreditation systems, NSBECS, or school improvement models
