Job Description

Digital Media Manager

Mission: Since its founding in 1892 by the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell, the mission of Mount St. Dominic Academy has been to empower young women to know their dignity, pursue the truth, and live in charity.

About the Position: The Digital Media Manager is first and foremost a storyteller - using words, images, and video to capture the spirit of the Mount and share it across digital and print platforms. While the role involves managing digital channels and tracking performance, its core priority is producing content that inspires and engages students, families, alumnae, and donors. The Digital Media Manager will report to the Head of School.

Responsibilities:

Strategy and brand management:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy aligned with the Mount's admissions and fundraising goals.
Ensure brand consistency across all digital channels, including the website, social media, and email marketing.
Monitor competitor activity and stay informed of industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Content creation and management:
Serve as the school's primary visual storyteller, capturing and producing photography and video content for use on the Mount's digital platforms.
Lead the creation and editing of original, engaging, and culturally relevant content for the website, social media, and digital newsletters.
Manage and maintain the school's digital asset library, including photographs and videos, for easy access and distribution.
Collate weekly school e-communication highlighting upcoming events and reminders.
Collaborate with other departments to gather and publish up-to-date content that showcases the school's curriculum, events, and student life through biweekly communications to prospective families, current donors, and alumnae.
Write for and lay out for the annual alumnae magazine.
Support the creation of visual assets for community and fundraising events

Website management
Oversee the school's website, ensuring content is fresh, accurate, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
Use website analytics to evaluate performance and improve the user experience.

Social media management:
Lead the school's social media presence across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Develop and manage the social media content calendar and execute daily posting and engagement activities.
Use social media to engage with the community, respond to inquiries, and build brand awareness.
Collaborate with students, faculty, and parents to highlight unique stories and accomplishments.

Advertising and analytics:
Plan, execute, and track digital advertising campaigns, including paid social media and search engine marketing (SEM).
Produce news stories for several digital news outlets.
Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns using analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Analyze data to assess campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and inform future strategies.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

Personal commitment to the mission of Mount St. Dominic Academy
A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field
An understanding of and enthusiasm for Catholic liberal education and Catholic culture
A love for the intellectual and spiritual tradition of the Dominican Order
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in digital content creation and management, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting
Proven skills in videography, photography, writing, and editing
Proficiency with relevant software, such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, Photoshop) and content management systems (CMS), as well as basic graphic design skills
Proven ability to align multi-channel digital communications with broader admissions and advancement goals, ensuring consistent messaging and effective storytelling across platforms
Experienced in setting, tracking, and analyzing clear and measurable metrics to inform strategy, measure impact, and maximize ROI of marketing spend
Must demonstrate personal self-discipline, be adaptable and flexible in routine and unexpected situations, and use good judgment in daily encounters
Ability to design and implement an effective marketing funnel to expand reach to prospective families, grow the donor base, and deepen engagement through compelling appeals and personalized outreach

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$65,000.
