Full Time Preschool Teacher (2025 - 26)
Kingswood Academy, Darien, Illinois
Position Available: (August, 2025)

Kingswood Academy, an independent Catholic School in Darien Illinois, is hiring a full time Preschool Teacher.

Kingswood's mission is to help parents be the primary educators of their children. Kingswood offers a rigorous, classically approach education rooted in the Catholic faith. Our preschool program has a Montessori base, but also works routines and structures to help get our students ready for kindergarten.

Kingswood teaches students how to reason and think critically (no devices), exposes children to the greatest minds in Western thought and literature, teaches history chronologically, and emphasizes instruction through written and spoken words.

The job entails all the responsibilities of a classroom teacher including building relationships, planning, management, assessment, parent communication and so much more.

If you are interested in making a difference in the classroom and developing the Catholic Faith deeply in young Catholics, this is the teaching job for you. A teaching certificate is a bonus but not required.

Education and Experience
Holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Education, or a related discipline that is applicable to the teaching assignment.
1-2 years previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Google Docs/Drive preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills are essential to success.
Practicing Catholic (preferred, required for religion teachers)
Observes the Code of Professional Ethics
Participate in all faculty meetings and prescribed in-service training opportunities;
Attend teacher institutes
Join with the other staff members in supervising the children and maintaining discipline on the premises before, during and after school
Work together with parents to assist them in their role as primary educators of their children

Hours / Benefits
This is a full-time position which includes benefits. The teacher will work each Monday - Friday that classes are in session as per a schedule developed by the Principal and school.

Benefits package that includes:

Salary Range*: $31,500 - $47,000 *Final salary will be determined by relevant teaching experience and relevant education.
