Junior High Math & Science Fulltime Teaching PositionSt. Francis School
St. Francis of Assisi School is a mission of our Catholic Parish where families and educators

A distinguished K-8 Catholic school with dual-classes located in beautiful Seahurst, WA, St
Francis of Assisi School seeks an exceptional junior high math and science educator for our 7th
grade mathematics and 7th-8th grade science programs.
Position Overview
We are committed to finding a dynamic teacher with deep subject matter expertise and proven
success in engaging adolescent learners. The ideal candidate will bring both excellence and
passion for mathematics and the sciences, and contribute to our school's tradition of academic
achievement in a faith-filled, close-knit community.
Duties and Responsibilities
The junior high math and science teacher, reporting to the Principal, will join a collaborative
team to foster a creative, engaging, and student-centered learning environment. We are looking
for a highly organized, effective communicator, and team-oriented individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and developing lesson plans for teaching 7th grade mathematics and 7th & 8th
grade science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
Serve as 7th grade homeroom teacher and grade-level team member
Measure student progress utilizing formative and summative assessments
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs
Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of junior high developmental
characteristics
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver highly effective instructional practices aligned with
best practices
Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
Attention to detail, highly organized, and strong classroom management skills
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or related field
Valid Washington State teaching certificate
3+ years experience teaching middle school or junior high aged students
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to engage students in meaningful, authentic learning experiences
Commitment to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development
Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction
Proficiency in differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making
Understanding and implementation of positive classroom management using PBIS
systems
Commitment to whole-child education
A passion for promoting respect and responsibility within the school community
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational abilities
Enthusiasm for fostering positive student-teacher-family relationships
Salary: Range is $57,000 - $90,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity,
internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees,
and certifications.
