Job Description
The Advancement Manager will have the opportunity to grow in their understanding of independent school development while working with top professionals in that field. They will be an integral part of the financial growth of one of the Washington metropolitan area's top independent schools while working in a dynamic, mission driven and cheerful environment.The Advancement Manager will work closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement to support the work of the Advancement Office through clear communications, donor centered cultivation and solicitation and diligent and organized management. This person will help this office reach challenging goals within an agreed upon timetable.
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field is preferred
Solid understanding of advancement and stewardship management and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
Experience of one to three years working in an advancement role or similar position
Commitment to supporting the work of the School's Advancement Office through clear communications, donor centered cultivation and solicitation and diligent and organized management.
