Job Description

Sacred Heart of Jesus Classical Academy invites applications for a full-time teacher position at our classical high school, grounded in the Catholic tradition. Located in the historic town of Staunton, Virginia, our school integrates rigorous academics with the joy and depth of the Catholic faith.

We are seeking a talented and mission-driven teacher who can contribute to our growing classical curriculum. Teaching responsibilities available include Literature, History, Theology, Philosophy, Latin, Mathematics, Science, Drama, Music, and Art.

Responsibilities
Teach up to 20 blocks (40-45 minutes per block) per week within the classical curriculum based on your strengths and the school's needs.
Participate actively in the daily academic and spiritual life of the school, including attending daily Mass with the headmaster, fellow teachers, and students.
Consider engaging students in extracurricular activities such as clubs, drama, music, athletics, or academic enrichment.
Foster a community that reflects our Catholic values and supports the intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation of students.

Requirements
-Must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make a public Profession of Faith
and take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-A passion for teaching and a willingness to teach in a classical manner using primary texts and Socratic discussion.
-A strong dedication to building a culture of life through education.
