Job Description
Archangels Academy, an independent K-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled, part-time high school Science teacher for our 2026-27 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to the formation and education of young hearts and minds.Candidates should be comfortable teaching all or some of the following course: Biology
Opportunities for this position to grow into a full-time position or be combined with other part-time positions are possible based on the candidate's skillset and the needs of the Academy.
Archangels Academy seeks to provide a high-quality classical education in the Catholic tradition for families that desire the pursuit of academic excellence combined with sound religious instruction in their Catholic Faith.
Job Summary:
Through wonder, lead students to an appreciation for the goodness, truth, and beauty in the study of the natural sciences
Develop logical and ordered thinking in students
Prepare a pacing guide to lead students to mastery throughout the year
Lead the classroom and direct the learning environment for student success
Facilitate age-appropriate experiments and hands-on learning
Communicate with parents and administration as to the students' progress
Facilitate student learning using various teaching strategies including Socratic approaches
Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, and other duties assigned by the Headmaster
Requirements:
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic
Bachelor's degree
Candidate with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is preferred
Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred
