Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate teacher who has experience teaching English Grammar, Composition, Logic, Literature, and/or History to middle and high school-aged students. In this role, you will inspire and guide students through the fundamentals of critical thinking and effective writing and research techniques. Your expertise will help foster a vibrant environment where students gain fluency in subject matter and confidence in writing. Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, emphasizing writing skills and critical analysis.
Incorporate digital teaching tools and learning technology to enrich the learning experience for in-person and online students.
Utilize and update our Learning Management System to facilitate online coursework, assessments, student feedback and grades.
Provide personalized feedback on student writing assignments to promote growth in academic writing, and communication skills.
Integrate research resources and demonstrate proper treatment of sources.
Follow curriculum and conduct assignments and assessments accordingly.
Communicate effectively and promptly with parents regarding student growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Classics, History, English, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
Proven classroom experience teaching middle and/or high school-aged students.
Strong writing skills with the ability to teach writing techniques and academic communication.
Familiarity with online instruction and LMS course management.
Knowledge of learning technology tools that enhance classroom engagement and hybrid learning environments.
Excellent communication skills paired with strong organizational abilities to manage classroom activities and student progress.
Experience or familiarity with homeschooling and home-educated students is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who will be required to undergo a background check and complete safe environment training.
