2026 - 2027 School Year Opening for a Full-Time Director of Campus Ministry

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Director of Campus Ministry

Mount St. Michael Academy, a Catholic all-boys college-prep Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) located on 22 acres in the Northeast Bronx, is seeking a Director of Campus Ministry for the 2026-2027 academic year.

In the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church, expressed in the charism of the Marist Brothers Province of the United States, Campus Ministry is responsible for developing, fostering, and enriching the Catholic environment and culture within the school community, making the message of the Gospel a lived reality within the school setting. As a Marist School, we are guided by the life of the founder of the Marist Brothers, Saint Marcellin Champagnat, who challenges us to take up the Gospel message and to "make Jesus known and loved," through the intercession of Jesus' mother, Mary, as an example of compassion, love, and solidarity with those on the margins.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work well with others and collaborate across the school community.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare a monthly Mass or prayer service, including securing a celebrant, coordinating with the choir, and ensuring the sacristy is complete with all necessary items.
Plan and complete the service-hour requirement for each student in grades 9-12.
Organize and run monthly mission initiatives (e.g., Cereal Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Clothing Drive, Midnight Runs, etc).
Schedule, plan, and prepare grade-level retreats for grades 9-12.
Schedule, plan, and prepare events for Catholic Schools' Week (Grades 6-8).
Prepare Retreat Leaders (Grades 11 & 12) to assist with running retreats.
Plan and execute the Rite of Christian Initiation Program (RCIA).
Plan and execute the annual Faculty Retreat in conjunction with the Principal.
Provide Adult Formation to Faculty and promote and participate in Provincial Adult Formation opportunities.
Plan and execute Brotherhood Day during Orientation Week-
Create a presentation for new faculty on "Marist Mission" and what it means to be a "Marist School".
