As a cornerstone of our leadership team, you will drive the creative design and administrative execution of a diverse calendar of transformative retreats and spirituality programs. Job Description
JOB TITLE: Program Director
DEPARTMENT: MSM House of Prayer (MSMHOP)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director, MSM House of Prayer
FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB PURPOSE: The Program Director (PD) is responsible for all sponsored programmatic oversight and functions of MSM House of Prayer (MSMHOP). The services will be provided with a spirit of hospitality and compassion that embodies the charism of the Sisters of Mercy and the Mercy Ministry Corporation and following all Mercy Ministry Corporation policies and procedures.

The Program Director will further the mission of MSM House of Prayer by designing, implementing, and evaluating all sponsored programs offered, working in concert with the overall vision for the continued ministry of MSM House of Prayer, and working with existing staff to market MSM House of Prayer programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MSM HOUSE OF PRAYER
• Creating, organizing, presenting, and coordinating a variety of sponsored retreats, workshops, programs, and services in consultation with the team and House of Prayer staff with the expectation of growing our audience and engaging participants.
• Design, implement, and evaluate House of Prayer Sponsored Programs and Spirituality Offerings.
• Recruiting, vetting, and contracting with presenters and adjunct Program Consultants, to provide sponsored retreats, programs, and services.
• Oversee and provide on-site hospitality for sponsored programs including welcome and orientation
• Work with MSM House of Prayer staff to oversee and coordinate administrative, technology, and hospitality essentials for sponsored programs.
• Developing an annual program calendar in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
• Work with the Executive Director to make programmatic plans and decisions informed by the mission and the budget of House of Prayer.
• Develop spiritual enrichment opportunities in response to the Critical Concerns.
• Provide content and input into marketing (including online and print materials) for programs and retreats to potential participants.
• Coordinate evaluation and follow-up procedures for the sponsored programs and hosted program amenities.
• Networking and engaging in outreach activities to expand identified audiences.
• Work closely with the Executive Director and staff to evaluate the ongoing needs of the House of Prayer.
• Design, implement, and evaluate MSM House of Prayer Sponsored Programs, Spiritual Direction, and Spirituality Offerings.
• Supporting and facilitating volunteers in sponsored programs and developing and supporting a program committee.
• Collaborating with the Executive Director to supervise volunteers in matters directly related to programs.
• Participate in staff meetings, program development, and presentations, taking the initiative to suggest ideas, solutions, etc., to the Executive Director.
• Oversee Spiritual Accompaniment Internship Programs and provide primary interface with Adjunct Spiritual Directors and Facilitators.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Competencies and Experience

• Embrace the mission and values of the Mercy Ministry Corporation and MSM House of Prayer.
• Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, in theology or related field, with at least five years of administrative/managerial experience
• Spiritual Direction Certification
• Proven experience in managing a diverse staff.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel)
• Excellent financial management skills
• Excellent networking skills

• Firm grounding in theology, spiritual direction, or formation work
• Possess and utilize good administrative, team building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrate competency and creativity in long-range planning and problem-solving, open to suggestions with the capacity to make independent decisions when needed.
• Excellent communication, public relations, development, and marketing skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel if needed.
• Adapts to changing environments with evolving systems and structures including the Mercy Ministry Corporation.
• Demonstrate personal integrity and commitment to ethical principles.
• Organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Work as a team member, utilizing a collaborative style of decision-making.
• Possess excellent written and personal communication skills.
