Evening School Custodian

Job Description

St. Therese School is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented PT Late Afternoon/Evening Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently, and supports the mission of Catholic education.

Part-Time | Monday-Friday | 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (25 hours/week) $17/hour

Start Date: 9/1/2026

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Principal, and the Director of Facilities the Late Afternoon/Evening Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the Main School Building, Learning Center, classrooms, gymnasium, and common areas after the school day has ended. This position ensures that the school is clean, sanitized, and ready for students and staff each morning.

Qualifications Profile:
-Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
-Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position.
-Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
-Ability to perform physical work, such as lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing for extended periods, and including lifting up to 50 pounds.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Strong attention to detail and reliability.
-Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with faculty, and staff.
-NJ Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation
-Must successfully complete all required diocesan background checks and Safe Environment requirements.
