Job Description
St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, a large and growing Catholic community located in the heart of Leesburg, Virginia has an immediate opening for a full-time (30+ hours per week) Business Manager to provide administrative support to the pastor in the areas of financial management and stewardship. Responsibilities include all finance and accounting functions of the church and parish cemetery to include internal controls, cash management, payroll, financial reporting, and the budget process. The Business Manager also coordinates internal audits, supports the parish finance council, and serves as a key contact to diocesan fiscal staff.Candidates should possess strong technical, organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills. At least five years of relevant experience and an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or finance are required. Advanced (graduate level) education in accounting and knowledge of QuickBooks are highly desirable. The starting salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
