CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, Full-Time Employee
SALARY RANGE: $100,000-$120,000

The Cedar Rapids Area East Pastorate is seeking a full-time Director of Evangelization to serve as a key member of the pastorate leadership team. The Cedar Rapids Area East Pastorate consists of 4 parishes, and serves over 10,000 parishioners.

Rooted in the Catholic faith, the Director of Evangelization provides vision, leadership, and oversight for pastorate evangelization efforts and ministries.

Working closely with the pastor and pastorate leadership team, the Director of Evangelization will help develop a culture that invites people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and forms missionary disciples.

The Director will guide implementation of Archdiocese of Dubuque evangelization priorities, initially focused on Intentional Hospitality, Sacred Encounters, and Forming Disciples, while helping the pastorate develop effective outreach and formation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
The Director of Evangelization will:
-Provide leadership and oversight for pastorate evangelization efforts and ministries.
-Implement Archdiocesan evangelization priorities and plans.
-Develop outreach efforts for individuals who are disconnected from the Church, have not encountered Jesus, or are seeking a deeper relationship with Christ.
-Recruit, form, equip, and empower employees and volunteers for ministry.
-Supervise assigned ministry staff.
-Coordinate evangelization and formation efforts across pastorate locations.
-Communicate evangelization and formation opportunities throughout the pastorate.
-Build relationships and maintain a visible presence throughout pastorate communities.
-Collaborate with clergy, employees, parishioners, volunteers, other Directors of Evangelization, and Archdiocese of Dubuque staff.

Qualifications
Candidates must be practicing faithful Catholics who respect and support Church teaching, worship regularly, and have a passion for furthering the mission of Jesus Christ.

An undergraduate or graduate degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Evangelization and Catechetics, Education, or a related field is preferred.

Candidates with other formal formation in the Catholic faith or significant ministry experience will also be considered.
