Job Description
Chelsea Academy, a Catholic liberal arts school committed to educating the whole person, is seeking a passionate and accomplished Humanities Teacher to join our faculty starting January 7th, 2026, for the 2025- 2026 academic year. We believe that a life well-lived is a life of continual inquiry, guided by both reason and faith. We are looking for an educator who sees the humanities not just as subjects to be taught, but as a path to wisdom and virtue, deeply rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Our ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic who embodies the intellectual and spiritual life they are called to teach. They are an expert in their field, a dedicated mentor, and an enthusiastic guide who can help students discover the enduring truths found in history and literature.Your Role and the Curriculum: This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the intellectual journey of our students. Your teaching responsibilities will include:
• 7th Grade: Modern European History.
• 8th Grade: American History.
• 10th Grade: Medieval History and Composition with Medieval Literature.
This interdisciplinary approach allows you to draw powerful connections between historical periods and their literary and cultural legacies. You will be helping students understand the narrative of the West and how it continues to inform our world today. The ideal candidate will also be open to teaching Physical Education for 6th and 7th-grade boys. This is a chance to mentor students outside the classroom and contribute to their holistic development through discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Required and Desired Qualifications:
• A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a Humanities-related field (History, English, Literature, etc.). • Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter areas listed above.
Preferred:
• A Master's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience with a classical or liberal arts curriculum and pedagogy.
Compensation and Application: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position beginning January 7th, 2026.
