Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PK-8 elementary school Health & P.E. teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment and/or willingness to supporting the Catholic mission and values of St. Mary's Catholic School. The candidate will also foster a positive learning environment for young learners, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and adapting to the diverse needs of students. This role is essential in shaping the educational experiences of children and helping them develop foundational skills for their future.

Duties
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with MN Dept of Education Health and Physical Education curriculum standards.
• Manage student behavior effectively to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students who may need additional support.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and class activities.
• Proofread educational materials and student work to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required; teaching certification strongly preferred (or in process, working towards certification). ***Non-certified candidates with a college degree and experience working with elementary school age children will be considered.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to integrate learning technology into the classroom effectively.
• Experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is advantageous.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
