Job Title: Director of Communications
Location: Spalding Pastoral Center, Curia - Peoria, IL
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Are you a communications professional passionate about the Catholic faith and ready to lead a bold new chapter in evangelization and outreach?

The Catholic Diocese of Peoria is seeking a Director of Communications-a visionary leader with tactical expertise-to lead our Office of Communications. This dynamic position will support parishes in their communications outreach and help spread the mission of Jesus Christ throughout Central Illinois.

What You'll Do:
• Help execute a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy
• Lead media relations, crisis communications, and digital/social media strategy
• Support evangelization efforts across parishes and diocesan ministries
• Partner with Bishop Louis Tylka and diocesan leaders to promote Growing Disciples initiatives
• Provide communications support across diocesan offices and events
What We're Looking For:
• A practicing Catholic with an understanding and love for the Church
• Proven experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing
• A visionary and doer-comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on execution
• Excellent communicator and team player with strong leadership instincts
