Job Description

The Production Assistant acts as general support for the Director of Production. The first point of contact for internal departments, the Production Assistant prepares images and manuscript for typesetters and printers, supports and maintains smooth processes, and keeps data up to date.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the database
Liaising with printers
Sourcing and enhancing interior art
Reviewing proofs
Tracking inventory for reprints
Producing back jackets and facilitating covers for books
Spearheading non-book products
Tracking corrections that need to be made for reprints, and updating PDFs, etc. as corrections are made

Skills:
The ability to work independently and to show initiative
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
An eagle eye to spot errors on proofs
A willingness to learn Photoshop and InDesign
Comfortable working in Excel/google spreadsheets
