Job Description
Mother Clelia Morning Star High School (MCMSHS), a dynamic and growing ESE high school, is seeking a full-time high school special education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The focus of this position is ESE Science, though other classes may be included as needed.Established in 2020 and accredited in 2024, MCMSHS partners with a community of families whose children have a variety of neuro divergent diagnoses. Our students receive a modified curriculum aligned with Florida's Access Point Standards. Many students' progression plans result in graduating from our five-year program with a Florida high school diploma. We endeavor to partner with our students and parents to help spark creativity, plan life after high school, feel Christ's daily presence and love, and facilitate graduating with confidence.
We are seeking a full-time, passionate teacher who is dedicated to delivering Christ-centered quality instruction. Applicants must hold a valid Florida Teaching Certificate and be able to pass all required fingerprinting and background checks as required by the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and the State of Florida. ESE Certification is preferred as well as being a practicing Catholic, but this is not a requirement. A dedication and passion for teaching ESE students is critical. The workday hours are 7:15-3:15 M-F. Applicants in the process of becoming certified will be considered. An understanding of Access point instructional delivery is highly desired but not mandatory.
