Job Description
Job Summary:Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Retail Management is responsible for the overall success of the onsite and internet retail sales of the Miraculous Medal Shrine, which is located in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia. This position is a key leadership role that supports the overall mission of the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal (CAMM).
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a retail sales strategy for both the onsite gift shop and our internet-based gift shop.
• Oversight of the design and implementation of the gift shop website
• Oversee order fulfillment, logistics and customer service
• Ensure products are on trend and appropriate for our demographics
• Liaise effectively with all sales support services such as research, production and creativity
• Focuses on selling religious products through our onsite Gift Shop and web based Miraculous Medal Gift Shop
• Provides presentations to Gift Shop Associates to educate and train in the sale and promotion of our products
• Communicates upcoming sales and promotion products to CAMM staff, to ensure phone orders are successfully completed
• Provides assisted sales support to stores at peak sales dates and times, which may include weekends and some evenings
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing sales results for all product lines as planned
• Works with the Marketing and Communication Team to create marketing plans and materials to be made available in the Gift Shop and Web Shop
• Ensure compliance with sales agreements, policies and parameters established by management
• Identify solution cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
• Collect, centralize, consolidate, and analyze sell out and KPI data
• Ongoing management of inventory, ensuring appropriate levels of inventory for sales and promotions
• Ability to establish and implement an annual plan for seasonal sale campaigns. Timely ordering of specialty themed items to ensure successful campaigns are launched. Assure all items are available on both the onsite and online stores
• Ability to successfully interact with vendors
• Conduct annual inventory
• Create strategies to deliver consistent quality performance to revenue goals
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years' experience in merchandising, e-commerce, supply chain, religious sales, or related field
• Demonstrated business, technical (web) knowledge at the mastery level, administration, or operations knowledge including knowledge of CRM systems, Internet sales, Finance Systems such as Clover, WooCommerce, Square, PayPal
• Photoshop experience is a plus
• Strong influencing and communication, organizational, people and customer service skills
• Must maintain professional attitude
• Self-starter who can complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Passionate about operational improvement and achieving business objectives
• Must have the ability to develop team relationships
• Experience in selling religious articles
• Easily adjusts to shifting priorities
Knowledge:
• Direct Shipping/Postage software
• Automated payment and postage systems such as Square, WooCommerce, Apple Pay, PayPal and ShippingEasy
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Extensive knowledge of social media marketing
A Bachelor's Degree in marketing, merchandising business or other related fields is required. This is a full-time, on-site salaried position with excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 annually. Candidates that meet the above qualifications should submit a cover letter, resume and salary requirements.
