SUMMARY: The Resettlement Resource Coordinator (RRC) is responsible for advancing the objectives and performance targets of the POWIR grant (Parishes Organized to Welcome Immigrants and Refugees). This position strengthens community engagement, expands parish and volunteer networks, increases in-kind donations, and raises public awareness of the refugee resettlement program throughout the Richmond region.

This position is grant-funded and scheduled to end September 29, 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Carries out objectives, activities, and reporting requirements outlined in the POWIR (Parishes Organized to Welcome Immigrants and Refugees) grant.

Meets established grant performance targets and timelines.

Collaborates with Refugee and Immigration Services staff, Fund Development Department, and community partners to ensure successful program implementation.

Develops and implements strategies to increase volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention within the resettlement program.

Cultivates positive relationships with volunteers, parish partners, community leaders, and stakeholders.

Expands and strengthens a network of parishes in the Richmond area to support refugee resettlement and welcome newcomers.

Plans and coordinates community engagement activities and educational presentations to increase public awareness of refugee resettlement services.

Represents the Agency at community meetings, outreach events, and speaking engagements in a professional and ethical manner.

Develops partnerships with faith communities, civic organizations, and businesses aligned with the Agency's mission.

Coordinates donation drives and other initiatives to increase in-kind contributions to support program needs.

Researches and pursues corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities to expand program resources.

Maintains accurate electronic and paper records related to volunteer engagement, outreach activities, donations, and grant reporting.

Enters and maintains accurate information in donor database and other tracking systems as required.

Uses available resources to strengthen community engagement, volunteer participation, and program outreach.

Must be experienced with public speaking and comfortable presenting in front of large audiences

Represents the agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner

Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills

Utilizes a high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, donor database (Customer Relationship Management System) and all other software applications and digital platforms used by the Fund Development department.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree required with one year of related experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is favorable.
