CCC offers quality and compassionate human services to all people, especially the most vulnerable, regardless of faith. We are passionate about the work we do in our communities, providing 31 critical services at 7 locations throughout Virginia.
SUMMARY: Provides essential support to the assigned program, playing a vital role in the daily operations of the agency's food pantry programs and related services. This position offers hands-on coordination, administrative assistance, and compliance oversight to ensure efficient delivery service to clients while maintaining accurate reporting, documentation, and inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Provides support to assigned program
Assists case workers in coordinating and implementing program activities for clients
Transports clients, as required by program
Works one on one with clients to assist them in meeting their service plan goals
Ensures services are provided in a planned, effective, and timely manner to clients
Maintains a clean and tidy workspace
Maintains accurate documentation of progress and activities, and provides updates and reports to appropriate stakeholders as directed by management
Assists with tracking and recording client progress, as required by program
Files correspondence, forms, and documents as needed
Connects clients to community resources, as needed
Provides direct client support and crisis response in accordance with program guidelines, ensuring timely notification and escalation to supervisors as needed.
Assists with guidance and support to all program volunteers as directed by supervisor.
Compiles and prepares monthly reports for agency pantry locations, including donation and utilization data
Provides data entry support for Housing and Financial Counseling (HFC), ensuring accurate client records and documentation
Supports HFC client communications, including follow-up calls, appointment coordination, and general correspondence
Participates in training and ongoing professional development as assigned by supervisor
Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent is required with one year of related experience. Must have a valid driver's license with 3 years clean record to pick up donations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is favorable. Must have the ability to lift 40 lbs frequently.
