Job Description

St. Coleman Catholic School in Pompano Beach, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This candidate must be an ESE teacher who is passionate about teaching exceptional students and proficient in strategies that facilitate learning for students with learning disabilities. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in an ESE, self-contained classroom for students with learning disabilities. The teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Qualifications:
• BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
• Florida Department of Education ESE teaching certificate, professional or temporary required.
• Proficient in strategies to teach students with learning disabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administration, colleagues, staff, and parents.
• Ability to teach a multi-grade level classroom.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Excellent presentation skills including use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
• Professional demeanor.
