Job Description

Little Flower Catholic School in Hollywood, Florida is seeking a qualified Middle School English and Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher for the 2025-26 academic year. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instruction that motivates and engages students, and develop cross-curricular units. The teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificate; temporary or professional required.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
Good spelling and grammar required.
Effective oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
Must have a professional demeanor.
