Job Description

Annunciation Catholic School in West Hollywood, Florida has an opening for a part-time Social Studies Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This teacher is one who is passionate about teaching children and will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Middle School Social Studies students. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Qualifications:
• BS / BA Degree in Social Studies Education or related field.
• Florida Department of Education Teacher certification in Social Sciences (History) 5-9 or Social Sciences k-12 is required.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies
• Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
