Job Description

St. Timothy Catholic Church, in Southwest Miami Dade, Florida, is hiring for a full-time Elementary Religion Teacher for the coming 2026-27 school year. The Elementary (2nd-5th grade) Religion Teacher is responsible for teaching the Catholic faith in a faithful, engaging, and age-appropriate way. The teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine and serves as a joyful witness to the Gospel, fostering students' spiritual growth. Through enthusiasm, prayer, and positive relationships the teacher supports the mission of Catholic education and helps integrate faith into daily school life. The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing lessons following the ADOM Religion standards. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Qualifications:
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Religious Studies.
• Master's Degree in Theology preferred.
• Required: FDOE Certification in Elementary Education, Profesional or Temporary.
• Two years' of experience.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent classroom management and demonstrated ability to engage students.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission, teachings and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
