Teacher Assistant

Job Description

St. Coleman Catholic School in Pompano Beach (Broward County), Florida has an opening for a qualified and dynamic full-time Teacher Assistant for the coming 2026-27 school year, to assist at the elementary level. The applicant must be nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to support the learning environment, cultivate critical thinking skills, and work collaboratively as part of a team. The candidate performs all duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on education and years of experience.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or associated degree; Bachelor's in education preferred.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to assist the teacher with small groups, yard duty, and other duties pertaining to a teacher assistant.
Ability to work as a team member with a variety of students, parents, and staff.
Apple and technology skills needed with digital books and interactive classroom technology, as well as the ability to integrate technology into the subjects.
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
Proficiency in Google apps.
Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Good spelling and grammar are required.
Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
