Job Description
The Diocese of Rockville Centre is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Information Services to work in our offices at the Chancery Office in Rockville Centre, NY. This position is full-time Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM and reports to the Director of Information Services.Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Information Services supports the strategic, operational, and pastoral technology hardware and software needs of the Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre. This role assists the Director of Information Services in planning, implementing, securing, and maintaining diocesan-wide information services and technology needs in alignment with the mission, values, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Provide daily helpdesk support and troubleshooting for all Diocese hardware, including but not limited to VOIP, desktops, laptops, copiers, printers and mobile devices.
•In-depth understanding and technical support of Microsoft Windows and Office 365.
•Work with our software vendors in support of all user hosted environments.
•Work with the Diocese technology vendors in support of the hardware infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems.
•Assist in overall management and planning of diocesan Information Service's needs.
•Support cybersecurity controls, data protection, and incident response procedures.
•Provide technical support leadership as needed to the diocesan offices and parishes.
•Co-manage Information Services projects ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field required.
•5-7 years of progressive IT experience with leadership responsibilities.
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
•Respect for and commitment to the mission, values, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the ability to work effectively in a pastoral environment.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience, qualifications and education.
