Job Description
The School of Saint Mary, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a middle school language arts for the 2026-2027 school year. This middle school language arts position teaches one section of middle language arts and covers all relevant Diocesan Standards for the appropriate grade level in reading, grammar, vocabulary, speaking/listening, writing and information/research during two 45-minute periods daily. The position also includes one section daily of Middle School Enrichment, supporting objective mastery from all subjects.The language arts teacher is a minister of the Catholic faith in an academic setting and candidates must demonstrate the capacity to utilize language arts as a means to teach students of God's plan and His love. The language arts teacher must be willing to support the Mission of the School and model a love of Jesus and a commitment to exemplifying the ideals of the Church.

Key Responsibilities
-Teach one section of middle school language arts and one section of middle school enrichment
-Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment for learning
-Draft and submit lesson plans, maintain accurate records and communicate with parents
-Model professionalism and the Catholic faith
-Actively participate in professional development of the school and the horizontal and vertical alignment of Language Arts curriculum
-Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree or Higher
-Teaching Experience preferred
-Teaching certification in the state of Oklahoma or equivalent preferred

The School of Saint Mary is located in Midtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the same campus as the Church of Saint Mary. The school was founded by the Felician Sisters in 1954 and has served the Catholic community of Tulsa ever since. The school is fully accredited by the Oklahoma Conference of Catholic Schools Accrediting Association, renewed June 2026. School of Saint Mary is a pre-K through eighth grade elementary school with 258 K-eighth students in the 2025-2026 academic year.
